Your responsibilities will include performing mammography procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform mammography imaging procedures according to established protocols and physician orders, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process. - - - -

• Obtain patient medical history, prior imaging of breasts along with reports and verify patient identification and consent prior to performing procedures. - - - -

• Position patients correctly and operate mammography equipment to obtain high-quality images of breast tissue. - - - -

• Monitor patients during imaging procedures and address any concerns or discomfort. - - - -

• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures performed. Including required records to maintain FDA certification. - - - -

• Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to review and interpret imaging results. - - - -

• Adhere to all regulatory guidelines and safety protocols to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. - - - -

• Maintain and perform QA on mammography equipment to ensure optimal performance and quality control. - - - -

• Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors. - - - -

• Practices medical and surgical aseptic procedures. - - - -

• Provides care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient, including pediatric, geriatric and general population. - - - -

  • Graduation from an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology, either college affiliated or hospital trained. - - - -
