Job Description:The Speech Pathologist is responsible for screening, testing, evaluating, diagnosing and treating disorders of speech, language, cognitive communication, voice, and swallowing. Posting Specifics Full time 40 hoursMonday-Friday 8am-4:30pmScopeAs an SLP you need to know how to:

• Carry out speech therapy evaluations, program planning and treatments for hospital inpatients and outpatients.
• Work closely with the Physical Medicine Director in coordinating speech therapy activities with other hospital disciplines and in developing a program for department expansion, community and physician marketing, budget needs, and department administration.
• Work independently with limited contact with other Speech Language Pathologists..Minimum Qualifications
  • Masters degree in speech pathology, required
  • Current license to practice speech-language pathology in the State of practice, required
  • Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) and achieve clinical competencies by the required clinical internships, required
  • Strong Clinical Fellows with demonstrated competence may work under supervision of a Speech Language Pathologist while completing the fellowship year- Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association, required by completion of the unit-specific orientation and before working independently.
    • At least six (6) months of experience in the acute care setting, including experience with Modified Barium Swallow Studies, preferred Physical Requirements:Hearing/listening, lifting, manual dexterity, pulling/pushing, seeing, sitting, speaking, squatting/kneeling, standing, and walking.Location:Intermountain Health St Vincent Regional HospitalWork City:BillingsWork State:MontanaScheduled Weekly Hours:40The hourly range for this position is listed below.
